The logo is made up of two well-known icons – the infinity symbol and the yin-yang symbol.
The infinity symbol represents the concept of something which is endless or limitless. The concept has been studied since ancient Greek and Indian times. The symbol was first used by John Wallis, an English mathematician, in his book, Treatise on Conic Sections, in 1655.
Glenn has inserted the yin-yang symbol into the infinity symbol twice, one as the reflection of the other. It denotes the complementarity of female (yin) and male (yang) in the wholeness of existence.
The infinity symbol, traced out by the finger, shows how movement to the extreme is followed a return to its opposite quality, in an eternal flow. Likewise, the goal of yin-yang is harmony.
Glenn’s works – books, poems, stories – recognise the wisdom of using this dynamic in our lives.
